One of our favorite places to go is Pullen Park. It is right in the middle of Raleigh and it has been around FOREVER! MY mom went there, I went there, and now Blake loves going there. In the Blake has had different "favorite" things. To begin with he loved the train. Last year he was obsessed with the boats, and this year I think he was a huge fan of the carousel.
We also got to go with Granny and Aunt T! It was a beautiful day for Blake and his favorite ladies! Nothing beats seeing that sweet smile on Blake's face.

March Resolutions
This month was awesome for my book resolution....
I am obsessed with The Great Gatsby and the Fitzgeralds (the author). For Christmas, I used some of my gift card money to get a recently published historical fiction novel about Zelda Fitzgerald. She and Scott Fitzgerald had such a crazy life and love. You almost hate to love them! When looking for the book at the bookstore, I learned that the author of Z (the book) is a local author! I mentioned it to our school librarian and she suggested that we email the author. Her name is Therese Fowler and she is indeed local! She agreed to come to the school and talk to our students! Of course this made reading her book even more fun. I was able to meet a NY Times Bestselling author AND she signed my book! How awesome is that! Such a neat experience. This months book goal will be hard to beat for the rest of the year!
My craft/DIY project this month consisted of my bedroom makeover. Here are the things I did to spruce it up a little...

My craft/DIY project this month consisted of my bedroom makeover. Here are the things I did to spruce it up a little...
- Added memory foam topper and new pillows to the bed. It is so comfortable now!
- Added a fake tree with string lights in one corner. Nice for reading at night.
- Hung the craft project from last month
- Put a framed cork board on the wall to hold ticket stubs, pictures, and cards.
Spring Break
Whew... I am behind with blogging again. This is probably a lame excuse, but I am just so tired at the end of the day. I have gotten to the point where I lay down with Blake in his bed at night, and then I fall asleep and wake up when it's time for me to go to bed. Totally unproductive.
Last week was our Spring Break... kind of. We were supposed to have off the whole week, but we had to make up snow days Monday - Wednesday. On Thursday, Blake and I took Granny to Marbles Kids Museum. Blake has been there several times, but each time he goes he is able to do something new. He loves it... so much in fact that he had his first little fit huge three year old temper tantrum when it was time to leave. He loved dressing up as a fireman and he walked the plank as a pirate! :)
We also got to learn how to fly a kite with GDaddy! Blake loves going out in the field and flying the bird!
Blake also got to spend some time with his dad over Spring Break. While they were having boy time, I was busy running with Rita. Our first 10K is in 2 weeks. Yikes! I am so nervous. It seems that the weather has turned and we are now in Spring full force. We are so excited for our upcoming outdoor adventures!

Toddler Manly Things
Since when did my toddler become a little man? I am not sure... but I can say that these toddler manly things are about the cutest things I have ever seen. Like sometimes, you just have to work under the hood of a jeep!
Blake and I have really enjoyed the weather being nicer outside.

Catch
For Christmas Blake got a baseball and a glove. It has just gotten warm enough for us to practice using it outside. I think we may have a natural baseball player on our hands because Blake is great at playing catch. Ryan and I both played baseball when we were younger, so hopefully Blake will to! Proud of him and the new things he is learning. We are going to have a blast as it starts to get warmer outside!

Last Year in the 20's
Yesterday was my birthday... and a very happy one it was!! :) This year I knew would be different. I was almost dreading it a little because I knew it wouldn't be spent with certain people, but thankfully my friends and family didn't let me down. They made me feel extra special! My parents and Blake spoiled me with food, gifts, and cupcakes!!! Blake was so sweet and sang happy birthday to me. We even had a blast blowing out the candles several times. We made lots of wishes!
My friends kidnapped me yesterday evening and we had an adventurous evening being strong, sassy ladies!! :) These are the girls who have had my back for the past year. Actually, we have all had each others back in the different phases of life that we are all in. That's true friendship!!! Love them so much!!!!! They are my second family and I am beyond blessed to have them.
I guess I can say that I am another year older and wiser?! I have a feeling that 29 will be an interesting year for sure!!!

February Resolutions
So far I am keeping up with my 2015 resolutions. Crazy!!! :)
This month I did a really awesome craft that is now hanging in my bedroom. It took me forever, but it was well worth the work!
For my book, I read Mandy Hale's Single Girls Guide to Letting Go and Moving On. Sounds silly, but it really helped me with some issues I was having with "letting go" of the past. Pretty appropriate for the stage I was in this month I guess. Plus, I needed a non fiction book to mix things up for me a little. :)
Very excited about March stuff...I am already started on the book for March and I have a huge surprise that will happen at the end of the month!! Can't wait to share it!
