End of Blake's First Basketball Season

Basketball season has flown by! Blake LOVED playing basketball! He had fun and made a lot of new friends. They played their last game this weekend and he said he was sad that he wouldn't be playing anymore. Luckily he has plenty of basketball seasons a head of him AND we have a basketball goal at home that he can practice on until next season! He also got a little medal for his first season to add to his collection of sports medals/trophies.

Blake made a few baskets in practice but didn't get one during a game this year. He was the youngest on his team, so we hope that next year will be his prime time for scoring! He loved dribbling the ball up the court and defense. He could get his hands up and guard! :) He has a lot to learn, but we had a blast introducing him to the sport! Until next season...

We have a month off and then baseball starts again!!! :)

100th Day of School

Time sure flies when you are having fun!!! 100 days of fun to be exact! Blake had his classmates celebrated their 100th day of school by dressing up like they were 100 years old. Blake REALLY got into character and I loved it! He made me laugh and he was so darn cute! He even walked and talked like he was old, asking me, "Mom, can you grab my book bag because my back is old!" Haha!

I am SO proud of everything he has learned in his 100 days of school. He is already reading at an above average grade level. Umm... he wasn't reading at all when he started kindergarten!!! He can also sound out words and write sentences on his own. The other week he wrote a sentence about a shark and sounded it out and spelled it correctly. He also counts to 100 by 10's and does basic addition and subtraction. I am so grateful for Mrs. Walker for teaching him all of these things! It's so amazing to watch him grow and learn!

Only 80 more school days left until Summer!!! :)

Defy Gravity Party

Saturday was time for Blake to celebrate his birthday with his friends! He wanted to have his party at Defy Gravity. This is an indoor trampoline park! They have tons of trampolines along with obstacle course and jumping foam pits!

Blake had some of his friends from school, his best buddies from PreK, and family! He was spoiled. Oh yeah... and it was a Transformer party! What more could we ask for!?

The adults even had fun and jumped around!

I doubt Blake knows it at the age of 6, but he is such an incredible boy! He is a child that loves EVERYONE and loves them deeply. He brings our family together! He loves life to the fullest and it is the best example to everyone around him! You are so loved, Buddy!!! You are the happiest part of our family!
