September Resolutions

For some reason,  amongst the normal chaos of life, I was actually able to have a very productive month with my 2015 Resolution!

My classes at school are doing a 15 minute quiet reading time AND I get to do it with them! YAY! This has really motivated me to brush up on my young adult literature. We have had great conversations about books and I hope to continue that!

Books that I have read this month...
A Room on Lorelei Street
Artichoke's Heart (my favorite of the two...)

I was also able to do some fun crafts. My mom and I did the painting class as a belated birthday gift for her.

Finally... my favorite part of this post... I did a little room make-over for Blake! I didn't repaint, because let's face it - who has time, money, and energy for that?!!? Instead, we just redid the theme. I bet you can't guess what the new theme is... :)

Another month down! I think I might have to keep this resolution going for 2016!

Post Card Tradition

I know I have mentioned this before, but I really want to make sure that Blake and I can visit as many places as possible together. I think that exploring places together is great bonding time. I remember doing this with my family and they are some of the best memories.

Along with blogging about it, I am starting a new tradition! Blake and I will collect a postcard from every vacation that we take. We will write the date and a little memory on the post card and then put it in a photo album. The goal is to fill the album and enjoy flipping through all of our vacation memories. Our first post card is one from the Asheboro Zoo!! Now we just need to collect LOTS more! :)

Zoo Fun 2015

Today makes one of the first beautiful days of Fall weather, and we spent it at the zoo! Blake is at the BEST age to go to the zoo. He is just amazed and excited about everything!

The sea otters are always a favorite... They are just so playful!

Blake got LOTS of exercise while walking around the zoo...

Blake really enjoyed getting to know all of the animals...

And most of all... I got to mark something off my bucket list! We got to hand feed a giraffe!!! It was amazing! Blake wasn't so sure about his long tongue. Haha!

Blake has"bring your stuffed animal to school" day at preschool on Tuesday. We got him a giraffe so that he could share with his class his awesome day! :)

Sweet Sleep
