Bike Riding

Blake and I recently pulled my bike out of the shed and we thought that going on bike rides together might be really fun...and it did not disappoint!

This Saturday we went to Horseshoe Farm Trail and we rode bikes. It was a beautiful day and Blake really kept up. we rode about 2 miles. We had so much fun!

Blake also wore his tank top, which he things is his muscle shirt... hence flaunting his muscles inthe pictures.. HAHA!

Hopefully soon we can take Blake's training wheel off!

Hurricane Florence

Just as we were settling into our back-to-school routines, Hurricane Florence came in and messed everything up! We have had baseball game rescheduled, school cancelled, and so much more. Our NC coastline was pounded by this monster of Hurricane Florence. We, however, were the lucky ones. We maintained power and our trees weren't effected. Blake and I took these few days off to simply relax and enjoy our Hurricane Hide Out in the living room! Never a dull moment around here! Hopefully we will be back into our grind soon.

Play Ball, Braves

As I mentioned before, Blake is playing fall ball! This past week he was able to have his first game as a Braves player and it was super fun!

First of all... how grown up does he look?!?! A perfect looking little baseball player!I was a Braves fan before, but I a REALLY a Braves fan now. My little #7 is the cutest!

I was super impressed with this league because they are helping to raise amazing little men on and off the field. They started the game by saying the Pledge of Allegiance. I think that is so amazing! We are a very patriotic family and I think this shows them the importance of respect. I was so proud of the whole team and it was a very moving way to get the game started!

Blake was a little discouraged that he couldn't get a hit during this game, but it will come! He made up for it in the field - he got TWO players out at 3rd base! I was so proud of him! He also got the chance to player catcher which was the cutest thing ever. I think he actually liked being behind the plate.

He is becoming such a tough little boy and he is overcoming so many obstacles with this season. I love seeing him learn and grow and develop into a little baseball boy. It is good for all of us!

Home Depot Kids Workshop

I just became aware of this super cool opportunity that is offered by Home depot. They have a Kids Workshop once a month where kids can go and build a little project for FREE!

What a perfect way to spend a Saturday with my little builder! Blake is my go to creative 6 year old engineer! He LOVES to build things and put ideas into motion and to create. He was totally in his element!

We were able to kick off Football season by making a football project. Blake's favorite part was hammering in the nails! He also really liked painting his finished project. :)

We had a blast building together and we will for sure have to do this more! He gets a little pin on his apron each time we go. This was a perfect mommy/son adventure!
