Outdoor Movie Date

Blake and I had the best mommy/son date night Saturday! We drive across the street to the Rolesville Middle School and we watched an outdoor movie on the football field! The movie was Ferdinand. We LOVE that movie. We laughed, cried, and had a blast watching that movie outside - and it was the most beautiful night! I love these special moments with my little man. I am in denial about how quickly he is growing up. He is all I have and I cling to this little boy more than anything. I am SO grateful that I have a special bond with him and I hope it continues. He is my greatest little love!

Rays

Blake had his first game as a Ray and that baby blue has never looked so good! He ROCKED this first game! He had a base hit every time he was at bat. He also got two people out when he played first base. Blake has grown so much as a little baseball player and he has a HUGE support system watching him. He is one lucky boy to have his family there cheering him on each time - and this time he gets to play with Tristan, his cousin! I have a feeling it is going to continue to be a great season of baseball!

Hurricane Dorian

Our second week of school was short because of Labor Day, but Hurricane Dorian made it EXTRA short! We got off Thursday and Friday for Hurricane Dorian! This hurricane was very unpredictable and strong - it was originally supposed to just hit Florida, but it ended up coming up the east coast as a category 2-3 hurricane.

Wake County decided to play it safe and we got out of school. Thankfully we did not get the worst part of the storm - our coast did though. Here in Wake Forest/Rolesville we just got some wind and rain. I always get a little nervous around hurricanes because we live around so many trees. We did not lose power or any trees! Thank goodness!!!

Blake and I are pro's at hurricane/snow days! We put up his tent fort in his room. Blake did comics, video games, and his tablet most of the day and he loved it! Haha. Jasper didn't like all the rain because he couldn't go on his walks, but he loved having us all at home.

Hopefully we don't have anymore hurricanes this season! Bring on the snow days instead!

Swinging into Fall

For Christmas last year, my dad got Blake a Spider Swing - and we just now got it up in my dad's yard!!! HAHA! Thankfully it is just in time to enjoy on those beautiful Fall days. Blake loves it and we are all enjoying the relaxing backyard that we have! So grateful!

I am SO excited for Fall - it is my favorite season and I know we will have some amazing times to look forward to!

Back to School- 2nd Grade

It's already back to school time! We survived the first week of school. I am going into my 10th year of teaching and Blake is starting 2nd grade! I can't believe it!

Blake's teacher this year is Mrs. Workowski! He is so excited to be in her room because her classroom is on the second floor - and that's where all the big kids are! :) His classroom is also across from our cousin, Julie's, room and one of his best friends, Grey! We are so grateful to be surrounded around such amazing friends and family. It will be a great year!

We are also one year closer to graduation and the class of 2030!!! AHHH!!!! That shirt is slowly starting to take shape. Haha.
