August means the end of summer and the start of the school year. It is a time fully of quick summer moments and also heavy anticipation for the new routine...
We enjoyed our last big family vacation. My mom rented a HUGE house on Lake Gaston for her side of the family to enjoy. This was the perfect house for the kids because they were able to play ping pong, enjoy the hammock, go on the boat, and enjoy smores by the fire. They loved it! Joyner had to stay home to work and take care of the dogs, but he came to hang with us a few nights and one big day! We loved tubing and having a blast. Soaking up the last moments of summer!

The rest of this month was a little bit of a wash.... Kinsley got RSV and was very sick for about a week. Once she started to get better, she gave it to the rest of us. We were all feeling pretty rought but thankfully recovered before school time.
Speaking of school... I am starting my 12th year of teaching and Blake is starting his 5th grade year! I can't believe this will be his last year of Elementary School!!! WOW! And of course Kinsley is still attending daycare. This will be a big year for all of us!
