Blake on Vacation

Blake is such a little stud. I can't help but love this cute little face. He is full of energy, curiosity, sass, and humor. Check out his sweet self on vacation. This just proves that life is good!!!!

Lake Gaston Trip

We were blessed enough to be able to go to Lake Gaston with the family for a few days. My mom always goes to the lake for the week of her birthday. We love to celebrate with her. Watching Blake a the lake was the cutest thing I have ever seen... I just can't handle it! :)

We rode on the boat...

We swam in the pool... Blake is doing so great. He learns a little more each time. This time Granny got him to blow bubbles!

We fed the fish...

He loves his Granny... his 2nd love. :)

We have so much fun a the lake... but sadly it means that our summer is almost over. It is one of our last vacations!

To Infinity and Beyond

We have been to infinity and beyond this week... soaring through our summer vacation!!!

Blake and Buzz Lightyear traveled in space (via our sidewalk chalk...)

And we defied gravity with Aunt T and the trampoline park! So much fun and such a great way to get out some energy.

Summer Fun Days

Blake is at the age where I HAVE to get the energy out of him during the day. I would love to know where I can get the same energy from!!! He is also at the age where we can try new things, so I have tried to get a little creative with our activities....

Putt Putt... or as Blake says, "butt butt" was really fun! Blake beat me...but he also cheated and broke the 5 stroke limit! HAHA! He would hit the ball once and then pick up the ball and stick it in the hole. I think he was more excited about the "adventure" of seeing the next hole and also seeing the surrounding animals and water. We had a blast and he made me laugh!

We are also very grateful to have friends who let us invade their neighborhood pool. Blake is still getting used to gaining his fish fins, but he is getting there. He got lots of encouragement at the pool this time! He can't wait to go back.

From a parent's perspective... It has been a lot of fun, actually, to discover things about our community as I search for new ways to entertain Blake. There are lots of neat little things and deals to keep children active. I am so glad that we are getting these opportunities and that Blake is loving his summer days!!!

Pearly Whites

Blake is growing, growing, and growing!!! He recently had his first dentist appointment!!

First of all... this mommy was SO worried about our dentist visit. I didn't want Blake to know it, but I was worried that...
  • He might HATE the dentist - who doesn't?!
  • That he was going to scream the whole time.
  • That he would have a mouth full of cavities ...can 3 year olds have cavities?!?!
  • He is going to have massive dental problems.
  • How much is this going to cost me?
  • Will the dentist know that I bribe my child with cupcakes on a daily basis?
Needless to day,  I worried for nothing!

We got there and Blake was automatically interested in playing with the waiting room toys and treehouse. He loved it. The nice dental hygienist came and asked Blake if he was ready to come back... I asked him if he wanted to me to come with him. Surprisingly (shockingly) he took the hygienists hand and told me to stay in the waiting room. He walked back there like the biggest little boy I have ever seen.

I almost cried watching him walk away. Is that what college is going to be like?!?! OH MY GOSH... where has my little boy gone?!?!! Ok, pause the mommy separation anxiety phase.

The doctor called me back about 30 minutes later and she told me that I had the sweetest little boy! He has a perfect smile and no cavities! She showed me his X-rays and all looks well. We were instructed to keep brushing and also to keeping drinking lots of milk. We can do that!!! :)

Check out this happy boy and his pearly whites!

Red, White, and Blue

Blake had his first party at preschool and it was a 4th of July party!! We all signed up to bring something and Blake helped me make cookies for his class. We made sugar cookies and he put the blue and red sprinkles on them. :)

His class also made the shirt that he is wearing. So cute with his little hand print.

He is so happy in preschool! He has lots of little friends and he is learning so much. He i also speaking/learning Spanish in his class. He said, "Hola amigos" the other day! Haha. I am going to have to get a dictionary in order to keep up with him.

Happy 4th of July!!
