August Resolutions

This month I was able read LOTS of books... but I was limited with money so my craft was very purposeful but cheap. Not getting paid during the summer is really an inconvenience!

My craft related to my classroom (hence the purposeful part...). My classroom changed last year, so I spent most of this month getting me NEW classroom ready. I was able to redecorate and get several cute things to make it extra homey. I even updated my pictures on my desk! My classroom is known by the kids and staff as being super clean and organized. That's the only way I can function at work! Haha. What do you think!?

Thankfully books from the library don't cost money, so I was able to really enjoy this part of my resolution. This month I read...

Paper Town by John Green
Little Big Lies

Now, the exciting news is that I got paid this month and I have a SUPER exiting craft/DIY project for September! Maybe 2!!! :)

Back 2 School

I guess it's that time of year again...back to school!

In the past week, Blake and I have been having to get back into the early morning routine. The fact that my school starts so early means that our mornings get a little hectic. However, I get off early and we get lots of afternoon time together.

Getting back into a routine can be somewhat difficult, especially when we are coming off such an amazing weekend. Here is how we are coping...

1. Cupcakes. We must have cupcakes! Blake and I went on a cupcake date one afternoon to simply take a breather. Thank goodness for cupcakes!

2. Football... The start of Fall. That always makes the transition easier.

3. Preschool Project... Blake is loving preschool. Just like the start of my school year, this is also the start of Blake's school year as well. His preschool teachers wanted his class to make About Me projects. They don't mess around with homework in preschool! HAHA! Check out some of the answers that Blake gave for the questions. He is the sweetest little boy I know!! He just loves being himself!

We are looking forward to a great school year!

3 Bears Acres

It is the last week of our Summer Vacation. Say what?!?! This has been the fastest and most amazing summer and I don't want to let it go. We decided to take advantage of the time we have left and explore a place called 3 Bears Acres. It was pretty neat! There was a huge tree house that Blake liked to play on! However, I think this fun places exhausted the adults about as much as it did Bake. We were chasing that kiddo all over the place. Hence his rosy red cheeks. He was running everywhere! HAHA! We also made Aunt T come with us because she goes back to college on Friday. We just love her!

Ironman

Always be yourself.... unless you can be Ironman. Then be Ironman!!! :)

July Resolutions

Where has time gone and how is it already August!?!?!? Oh my goodness...

I have still kept up with my resolutions! 7 months strong! The only thing is that this month I have any cute pictures. Oops...

Books:
Something Borrowed - Emily Giffin (my favorite author btw)
Wild - Cheryl Strayed .... not my favorite book at all. Great for putting you to sleep though!

DIY Craft:
Blake and I made little gifts for his preschool teachers. We took a paper bag and filled it with white shredded paper fillers. Then we put the egg lip balm in each one. We finally labeled it "Blake thinks you are the 'balm'"  They loved it! I am trying to do something sweet for the teachers every other month or so. I am really enjoying looking at Pinterest for cute teacher appreciation gifts!
