We are soooooooo close to summer!!! We can not wait! We enjoyed this long weekend getting ready for all the summer fun!
We took advantage of opening weekend at the pool. It is going to be a great summer there! Kinsley is finally old enough to love the kid area and Blake loves the slide! Joyner and I can occasionally enjoy the lazy river as well!
We also had some fun at Strike and Barrel and the arcade! The kids had a blast letting loose and getting ready for a summer of fun!!!
Baseball is in full swing (like what I did there?!). Haha. Blake is on a GREAT time this year and they have some real potential. The coach is amazing and does a great job of motivating the kids. I love seeing how they come together as a team and cheer each other on during all the games. Blake is doing great. As always - this is my favorite part of being a boy mom. I love watching him play!!!
Kinsley on the other hand loves the playground that is right by the field! Haha. But, no matter what, so always gives her brother a huge hug and congrats at the end of the game. She has been his cheerleader literally from Day 1.
My favorite thing in this whole world is being a mother. It is my greatest joy... and I just happen to have the best kids in the world. They make my job so easy! Ok, if we are being honest they also make my life challenging and chaotic, but in the most important ways. <3
Since having Kinsley, I am learning that my kids are very different. Things that Blake loved are sometimes not a favorite for Kinsley. Parenting methods that I used with Blake often don't work with Kinsley. It has been challenging me as a mother, but it has given me the greatest gift in the in. Looking back on all of the pictures of them smiling and thriving and loving life makes me feel like maybe I have done something truly great with my life - because they are my world!!!
I hope and pray that I get a million more years left with them. I hope that I can continue to see them grow and accomplish so many great things in their lives. I hope they know how much a love them - and that I will always be with them!!!
(I also hope that one day they can read these year books or look back on their lives and know how hard I worked for them to be happy... this is not the age where they see that. So maybe one day they will get it! Haha)
This Mothers Day we enjoyed the day at the zoo. Of course I love seeing the giraffes, but I also had a blast seeing the kids love the animal views! It was really cool and a gorgeous day for it!
A yearly WF traditions - Meet in the Street! It is almost getting TOO big of an event. There are TONS of people there! But we always have a great time. Kinsley will be older next year so that we can spend more time there. Blake has done this event since he was 1-2 years old! I love it it! I even did it when I was that young. It is that small town charm that we love.
Blake and Kinsley loved the balloons and all of the vender freebies. Joyner and I loved the food trucks - we had empanadas!
