 May is here and we are in full Spring swing... YAY.....

We took the boat out for the first time! Joyner was thrilled. We went to Falls Lake and gave everything a test run. We were trying to see what it might be like to take the family out. We also were trying to find our groove with unloading and loading the boat. This part stresses me out because I have to help get the boat off and on the trailer. Joyner isn't the best communicator in these moments, so I am just happy that I didn't take out another boat or the pier! We have some practicing to do in order to make it a routine, but we will get there! 

Blake is back to playing baseball. I love watching him play any sport, but I hope this season will be one of his best! We are also back to playing flag football as well! Blake still likes flag football the best. 

I love May because that means MOTHERS DAY! I can't tell you enough about how this is one of my favorite days. Being a mom is my FAVORITE thing about this life. Blake and Kinsley are my world and my happiness. They are my purpose. I enjoy being their mom so much and I am grateful every day that I have them. I won't lie - they challenge me sometimes and being a mom isn't easy, but they make it worth it. I can't imagine a greater love than a mother and a child. I am so grateful for all of our adventures and I can't wait for more! 

This year we decided to try our the Mudcats games! They are not quit as exciting as the Durham Bulls, but we loved all the merch and family fun! 

Blake started piano lessons!!! I know my Granny is smiling down from Heaven about this. I hope he enjoys playing and sticks with it! He is such a well rounded kid. 

Kinsley is always a trooper when it comes to tagging along for Blake’s sports and our errands- So today we had a “Special K Morning” and let her have the spotlight at Pullen Park. She had the BEST time! I just love how her little light shines in such a big way.

If you know Joyner, you know that he loves fishing. So we enjoyed a Family Fishing Day today! It was so much fun and everyone caught a fish. Kinsley even liked the fish! :) 

And...I got COVID the last week in May....

April 2022

 April is our absolutely busiest month so far this year. Spring has hit and we are loving it!

First we had Spring Break... we went to Great Wolf Lodge. Blake loved it because he is now older and going on the big slides! Joyner loved it because he turns into a little kid again with all the games and water fun. I loved it because this year I wasn't 8 months pregnant with swollen feet (like last year), and Kinsley had a blast with all the water excitement on her first vacation! 

Then our Kinsley girl turned ONE!!!!! Oh my goodness! She had a blast celebrating with family and enjoying all the feels of being ONE! She is sassy and sweet all at the same time. Kinsley ADORES her brother and laughs every time he is around. She is very shy around others and is super quiet. She loves any music or songs and knows all the little hand motions. She even knows sign language - little smarty pants! We are so proud of her and we can't wait to see what adventures are ahead of her in the next year! 

We also celebrated Spring with our favorite tradition of picking strawberries! Blake of course loved it, but Kinsley was all about learning from her brother how to pick strawberries! :) 

And finally we enjoyed all the community fun with trying out luck with Geo Caching and Music in the Park!
