July 2022

We kicked off July with THE BEST trip to Boone with my family!

We went to Tweetsie Railroad on July 4th and had a blast playing cowboys! We even had a little too much fun on the rides - we all almost got sick. HAHA! Then we got to see the amazing fireworks on the mountain side. Kinsley stayed back at the mountain house with Dad, Heather, and Memommy.

The next day we went to Grandfather Mountain! The Mile High Bridge was the best.

This was such a wonderful vacation with my family - especially my Memommy.

They are just the cutest and I adore watching them this summer.

We continued our Mudcats games.... our season package is coming to an end. It has been fun and we loved these games, but I think we like the Durham Bulls better.

August is right around the corner and Kinsley is starting daycare two times a week- on Tuesday and Thursdays this school year. She is so ready to have some fun with new friends and we are so glad that she is starting her journey at Rolesville Creek Learning Center. She is so happy there and we love the teachers!

June 2022

This month started off with Joyner and I getting a rare date night to a friends wedding! It was so nice to get dressed up and socialize with adults for the night...along with having great food. But it was also the night that I got Covid.....sigh....

Blake wrapped up his baseball season - they had an amazing run this year! Best season yet! He also had a few special cousins visit!

Summer has started!!! That means lots of outdoor time and pool days!! I just love our pool and Kinlsey is actually old enough to enjoy it something this year (but I will be a sunscreen freak).

June always means Father's Day and we are lucky to have some great father figures in our lives!!!

Somewhere around here Blake got Covid, too..... man it was a slightly rough month....

We rebounded by having a Summer Smore's night and also a Putt Putt date to celebrate his freedom! We are done with all this Covid stuff! Blah!!!

Sadly due to us all having Covid, Joyer's bday trip to the beach had to be cancelled. Instead, we celebrated at home doing all of his favorite things. Pool, eating out, boat, and more!!! I think we pulled off a good alternate bday celebration for the BIG 4-0!!!!!! :)

May 2022

May is here and we are in full Spring swing... YAY.....

We took the boat out for the first time! Joyner was thrilled. We went to Falls Lake and gave everything a test run. We were trying to see what it might be like to take the family out. We also were trying to find our groove with unloading and loading the boat. This part stresses me out because I have to help get the boat off and on the trailer. Joyner isn't the best communicator in these moments, so I am just happy that I didn't take out another boat or the pier! We have some practicing to do in order to make it a routine, but we will get there!

Blake is back to playing baseball. I love watching him play any sport, but I hope this season will be one of his best! We are also back to playing flag football as well! Blake still likes flag football the best.

I love May because that means MOTHERS DAY! I can't tell you enough about how this is one of my favorite days. Being a mom is my FAVORITE thing about this life. Blake and Kinsley are my world and my happiness. They are my purpose. I enjoy being their mom so much and I am grateful every day that I have them. I won't lie - they challenge me sometimes and being a mom isn't easy, but they make it worth it. I can't imagine a greater love than a mother and a child. I am so grateful for all of our adventures and I can't wait for more!

This year we decided to try our the Mudcats games! They are not quit as exciting as the Durham Bulls, but we loved all the merch and family fun!

Blake started piano lessons!!! I know my Granny is smiling down from Heaven about this. I hope he enjoys playing and sticks with it! He is such a well rounded kid.

Kinsley is always a trooper when it comes to tagging along for Blake’s sports and our errands- So today we had a “Special K Morning” and let her have the spotlight at Pullen Park. She had the BEST time! I just love how her little light shines in such a big way.

If you know Joyner, you know that he loves fishing. So we enjoyed a Family Fishing Day today! It was so much fun and everyone caught a fish. Kinsley even liked the fish! :)

And...I got COVID the last week in May....
